Why Video? Because Video Sells!

Welcome to the Jungle- Their breakout hit from 1988’s album Appetite for Destruction, this song put these bad boys on the rock and roll map. From the gritty music video portraying a naive boy pursuing his dream of fame in L.A., to the gritty lyrics and thrashing guitar riffs, this is GNR’s first – and undeniably best – song. It didn’t get the recognition it deserved until nearly a year after the album was released.

The power of videos in the internet cannot be denied because through it, people get what they need, and most importantly, the videos that you create can actually generate money for you.

November Rain- This song was a huge top-10 hit for the band, and one of the most-played videos on MTV in the early 1990’s. It’s also a long song – a very long song – clocking in at almost 9 minutes. The Cleveland video production for this song was an expensive undertaking, and it featured Rose’s then-girlfriend, model Stephanie Seymour.

You can also decide to promote your video on one of the many video sharing sites, such as You Tube. Each video shows how many views it has had and if it has been rated by viewers. People often will leave comments on your video. If you come up with something unique or entertaining, you may find your video at the top of the popularity charts and getting 1000s of views a day. This does not necessarily translate into 1000s of customers, but it is likely that you may get some fresh visitors to your web page.

If you are shooting wedding that was booked by another videographer, don’t even think about promoting your business at the wedding and reception. This is also a situation where you should have a handful of cards to give prospects who are interested in learning more about wedding video services.

Video marketing is a great tool for connecting directly with your customers. Make video responses to their questions rather than writing to them. This kind of communication engages the viewer and will probably make your customers appreciate you a little more.

By producing video, you are building another channel to become more social and build your personal brand. Creating video is seen as one of the best ways to generate awareness of who you really are and get viewers back to your blog. Maybe you can become one of the next viral videos to hit every corner of the media. Now THAT would be a fun and social life online. I wish you luck, and I’ll “See” you online!
